1. Acceptance of terms

By downloading, accessing, or using the mobile application or website of CBN S.A. (hereinafter "CBN", "we", or "the platform"), you accept these Terms and Conditions in their entirety. If you disagree with any of these terms, you must refrain from using our services. CBN reserves the right to modify these terms at any time. Modifications will be notified through the application and will take effect upon publication.

2. Service description

CBN is a technology platform that connects users who need laundry services with local laundries ("partners") and independent drivers. CBN facilitates the pickup, processing, and delivery of garments to your doorstep. CBN is not a laundry service. We act as a technology intermediary between users, partners, and drivers. The processing of garments is the responsibility of the assigned partner.

3. Registration and user account

To use CBN, you must create an account providing truthful and current information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. Only one account per person is allowed. CBN reserves the right to suspend or cancel accounts that violate these terms or exhibit suspicious activity.

4. Orders and services

By placing an order through the platform, you agree to pay the price indicated at the time of confirmation. Prices include the laundry service and transportation (pickup and delivery). CBN uses computer vision technology to record the condition of garments at each stage of the process. This record is part of the digital chain of custody and may be used to resolve disputes. Delivery times are estimates and may vary based on demand, weather conditions, and other factors.

5. Payments and billing

Payments are processed through secure payment providers (Stripe or other authorized providers). CBN does not store credit card data directly. You authorize CBN to charge the registered payment method at the time of order confirmation. Refunds, when applicable, will be processed through the same payment method within 3 to 5 business days.

6. Cancellations and refunds

You may cancel an order at no charge before the driver begins pickup. Once pickup has started, the order cannot be cancelled. Refunds for quality issues are evaluated on a case-by-case basis, considering the evidence from the digital chain of custody. CBN may offer account credits as an alternative to refunds.

7. Garment liability

CBN implements a digital chain of custody system with artificial intelligence that records the condition of each garment at every transfer point. This system helps determine liability in case of damage or loss. CBN's maximum liability per damaged or lost garment shall be ten (10) times the value of the service contracted for that garment, up to a maximum of 50,000 colones per garment. CBN is not liable for damage to garments not reported within 48 hours of delivery.

8. Privacy and personal data

The processing of personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy and Costa Rica's Law 8968 on Protection of Persons with regard to the Processing of their Personal Data. By using the platform, you consent to the collection and processing of data as established in the Privacy Policy.

9. Intellectual property

All platform content (design, logos, text, software, AI algorithms) is the property of CBN S.A. and is protected by Costa Rican intellectual property laws and international treaties. Reproduction, distribution, or modification of content without written authorization from CBN is prohibited.

10. Applicable law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Costa Rica. Any dispute shall be resolved before the courts of justice of San Jose, Costa Rica. If any provision of these terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
