1. Data controller

CBN S.A., domiciled in San Jose, Costa Rica, is the data controller responsible for the processing of your personal data in accordance with Law 8968 on Protection of Persons with regard to the Processing of their Personal Data.

2. Data we collect

We collect the following personal data: - Registration data: name, email, phone number. - Location data: pickup and delivery addresses, GPS location during active service. - Payment data: card information processed by Stripe (we do not store card numbers). - Usage data: order history, service preferences, app interactions. - Computer vision data: garment photographs for the digital chain of custody. - Device data: model, operating system, push notification tokens.

3. Purpose of processing

We use your data to: - Provide the on-demand laundry service (pickup, processing, delivery). - Process payments and generate invoices. - Send notifications about your order status. - Maintain the digital chain of custody with computer vision. - Resolve disputes and claims with visual evidence. - Improve service quality and user experience. - Send marketing communications (only with your express consent).

4. Legal basis

Data processing is based on: - Performance of the service contract (Art. 5, Law 8968). - Express consent for marketing communications. - Legitimate interest for service improvement and fraud prevention. - Legal obligations (billing, tax retention).

5. Data sharing

We share your data only with: - Partners (laundries): minimum data necessary to process your order (name, garment types). - Drivers: address data for pickup and delivery. - Payment processors: Stripe for secure transaction processing. - Authorities: when there is a legal obligation or court order. We do not sell personal data to third parties. We do not share data for third-party advertising purposes.

6. Data retention

We retain your data for the following periods: - Account data: while the account is active, plus 2 years after deactivation. - Order data: 5 years (tax obligation). - GPS location data: 90 days. - Chain of custody photographs: 6 months. - Audit logs: 3 years. After these periods, data is securely deleted.

7. Data subject rights

Under Law 8968, you have the right to: - Access: request a copy of your personal data. - Rectification: correct inaccurate or incomplete data. - Erasure: request deletion of your data (when there is no legal obligation to retain it). - Objection: object to the processing of your data for marketing purposes. - Portability: request your data in a structured format. 8. Security

We implement technical and organizational measures to protect your data: - Encryption in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest. - JWT RS256 authentication with token rotation. - Role-based access control (RBAC). - Audit logging of data access. - Encrypted backups. No security measure is infallible. In case of a data breach, we will notify affected individuals and PRODHAB within the legally required timeframes.

9. Cookies and similar technologies

Our website uses essential cookies for platform functionality. We do not use third-party advertising tracking cookies. You can configure your browser to reject cookies, although this may affect site functionality.

10. Changes to this policy

We reserve the right to update this policy. Significant changes will be notified through the application and by email. For inquiries or complaints about the processing of your data, you may contact Costa Rica's Agency for the Protection of Citizens' Data (PRODHAB).
